Mya's Goldfish

Tonight Matt cleaned out the goldfish tank. Later, I was feeding the goldfish and called it Goldie. Mya overheard and quickly started calling our fish Goldie and "Golpie." Later, as I was reading her books, she sensed that it was getting close to time so she asked for some food. I asked her, "What do to want to eat?"
She quickly responded, "Golpie" as she made the sign for fish.
I said, "You want to eat the goldfish?"
"Yeah." She said and nodded.
I asked her, "What do you think Goldie will taste like?"
She thought for a minute and looked at the fish and said, "Candy!" and stuck her finger in her ear. (Which is her sign for candy.)

Mya had cereal for her snack. Goldie is swimming happily in her clean tank.

Kelly's Birthday

Mya and me on my birthday. I thought it would be a great idea to take a picture next to this tree that I got for my birthday and make it a tradition. It would have been great to see the tree grow tall as I Mya grew up and I grew wrinkles. Well, the tree died less than 2 months later.

Yellowstone 2010

I love this picture. It is from the road trip that Mya and I took this last summer to Yellowstone. I went with Maddy and her sister Jessie and between all of us, there were 4 children under 18 months. What were we thinking? I am still not sure. We stayed in my parent's cabin in Island Park and went to Yellowstone. This was where we stoped to eat lunch. Mya really wanted to jump in the river.
